Helpful hints
Doing somersaults or jumping on a trampoline before the trip could help to desensitise you to motion sickness. Avoid bulky or fatty food, alcohol or salty or dairy foods before travel and instead use easy meals or snacks which are low in calories. Try to keep your stress levels to a minimum. Try to keep your head still. Get plenty of garden fresh air. Try to keep yourself mentally occupied, buy not by reading. Sit or lie down in an area of the ship, plane or car etc with the least motion. For example, in a plane, if possible sit near the wings. On a ship, stay on the deck and focus on the or, if, horizon you're inside the ship move to the middle of the ship. If you're travelling at night and can't see the horizon, close your eyes or try to get some sleep. In the car, drive or sit in the front seat.
